The league consists of 16 teams that play a regular schedule of double-round matches. The top 8 teams advance to the play-offs that decides who is crowned the Turkish Campions. The bottom two teams are automatically relegated to the second division, from which the top two teams are promoted.

The current teams in the league are Anadolu Efes, Bahçeşehir Koleji, Beşiktaş Emlakjet, Beysu Konyaspor, Büyükçekmece Basketbol, Darüşşafaka, Fenerbahçe Beko, Frutti Extra Bursaspor, Galatasaray Nef, Gaziantep Basketbol, Manisa BB, Petkim Spor, Pınar Karşıyaka, Tofaş, Türk Telekom, and Yukatel Merkezefendi Basket.

How to Bet on the Turkish Basketball Super League

There are several betting markets available for the Turkish Basketball Super League. Some relate to the season as a whole and others to individual games. Here we shall take you through some of the most popular markets to help you get started

Outright Bets

Outright bets are bets on which team will win the league. Often, fans will place these bets before the season begins when the longest odds are available. However, they can be placed once the season has started.

For example, you could bet on Beşiktaş Emlakjet to win the league this year. As noted, if you bet before the season starts then you will receive long odds. However, if Beşiktaş Emlakjet win their opening games and you place the bets, then the odds will likely be far shorter.

Game Results Bets

This is the simplest type of bet; it is a bet on which team will win a game. It is a two way bet, as there are no draws in basketball. For example, if Besiktas and Fenerbahçe Beko play, you choose a team and if your chosen team wins, then you win the bet.

Game Handicap

This market gives a team a points handicap, such as -8.5. The idea is to make it more interesting to bet on a game when there is a big difference in quality between the two teams. For example, if Fenerbahçe Beko, the current champion, faces Manisa BB., a newly promoted team, then you may expect Fenerbahçe Beko to win with ease. In this situation, you could place a bet on Fenerbahçe Beko with a handicap of -11.5. This means that in our bet, Fenerbahçe Beko starts with a deficit of 11.5 points and the bet will only win if the team wins by at least 12 points.

Game Winning Margin

This is a bet on how many points a game will be won by. Sometimes, there will also be markets asking to specify winning margin and the winning team. For example, in a Galatasaray vs Darüşşafaka match, you could bet that the point difference will be between 5 and 8 points. If the final score was finally 80-74, then Galatasaray would have won by 6 points and the bet would be successful.

This market allows you to bet on each half of a game as if they were separate events. This gives you twice the number of opportunities to win. You will also find some variation, for instance in a game between Galatasaray and Darüşşafaka, you could bet on Darüşşafaka to win the first half and Galatasaray to win the game, or any variation thereupon.

Total Points Bet

This market requires you to predict the total number of points scored by both teams in a game. You are provided with a value, e.g. 156.5, and need to bet whether the total points will be over or under this value. For example, if a match Tofaş and Gaziantep Basketbol ends 80-70 and you bet the total points would be over, then you would we lose the bet as the total number of points are 150.

Player & Game Props

Player & Game Props are bets on certain events or match statistics. For example, you could bet on the number of fouls in a game, on a specific player to score, on how many 3-pointers there will be and far more. These bets often have very long odds, so they are worth exploring.

Live Bets

Live bets can be placed while the game is taking place. You will find many of the markets explained above and the odds on offer will vary according to what is happening in the game. You will also be able to bet on the next thing to happen, such as the next player or team to score.
