Learn How to Bet on the Brazilian Liga Nacional de Futsal

Introduction to the Brazilian Liga Nacional de Futsal

The Liga Nacional de Futsal is Brazil's top tier of league futsal. The league was set up in 1996 by the Confederação Brasileira de Futsal, or CBFS, and was created to help improve the popularity of the sport and support of the clubs in the country.

The sport has grown a lot in popularity since the official league was set up, and clubs such as Carlos Barbosa, Jaragua, Ulbra, Magnus Futsal, Intelli, Atletico Mineiro and Pato Futsal have all won the league more than once. Though the more successful futsal clubs hail from mid to southern Brazilian states such as Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo, Minas Gerais, Paraná and Rio de Janeiro, the game is played widely throughout the country.

In terms of popularity, futsal definitely comes second after football, but this does not mean that the futsal tournaments are second rate or lack any excitement. In fact, the game has many of the same skills and techniques that are found in football. Games are extremely fun to watch and with former and current players such as Falcao, Manoel Tobias, Ricardinho, and Rodrigo Hardy Araujo, all shining in the game, the Liga Nacional de Futsal will only become more popular.

Liga Nacional de Futsal Bets

Full Time Result

This is the simplest bet that punters can place. It is a three way bet where bettors can put their money on one of the teams to win or on the game to end in a draw. For example in a game between Carlos Barbosa and Atletico Mineiro, there will be a bet for Barbosa to win, a bet for Mineiro to win and a bet for the game to end in a tie.

Handicaps

There are several handicap options that can be used by bettors to lengthen the odds when betting on the favourites or reduce the risk of betting on the underdogs. When betting on the favourites, a negative handicap of -1.5, -2.5, -3.5, can be applied. This means that the team will have to win the game by at least 2, 3, or 4 goals for the bet to win, which will increase the risk of betting on that team but also lengthen the odds. When betting on a weaker side, a positive handicap of either +1.5, +2.5, or +3.5, may be applied, which will mean that if the team loses the bet may still win as long as the team does not lose by more than 1, 2, or 3 goals. This will make it safer to bet on the weaker side but also shorten the odds.

Double Chance

The double chance is a bet that covers two of the possible three outcomes of a single game. In a game between Barbosa and Mineiro, there will be a bet for Barbosa to win or the game to end in a draw, Mineiro to win or the game to end in a draw, or for Barbosa to win or Mineiro to win. If the game ends in one of the outcomes covered by the bet, then it pays out.

Tie No Bet

This bet is similar to the double chance, but instead of covering two out of the three different possible outcomes, it is a two way bet where a bettor can place their money on Barbosa to win or on Mineiro to win. If the game ends in a draw, the money will be returned to the bettor, regardless of which team was picked to win.

Total Goals

Bettors can bet on how many goals they think will be scored in a game with the total goals bet. Bettors can pick from one of multiple betting lines that may start from 1.5 or 2.5 and go all the way up to numbers such as 6.5 or 7.5. A bet is then placed on whether the game will end with over or under the number of goals specified in the line.

Halves

All of the bets listed above may also be found for the first half and second half in a Liga Nacional game. These bets are basically on what will happen in the chosen half, regardless of what happens in the other.

Game Props

There may be a handful of game props, which are slightly more advanced bets. They are easy to understand but can be tricky to predict. These include yes or no bets such as will one team win both halves, will both teams score, will one of the teams win at least one half, and many more.

There may also be other props such as which team will score first, which team will score last, the result at half time and full time, and so on.

Live Bets

It is possible to place bets during a game as well. Live bets are offered with odds that change during the course of a game, and they include all the standard bets. There may also be some bets on what will happen next in a game, for example which team will score next, will a certain team score in the ongoing half, will both teams score in the ongoing half, and many more.
