What is Premium Baccarat?

Premium Baccarat is a feature packed game. Players will benefit from roadmaps, side bets and even the chance to win four progressive jackpots. Keep reading to find out more about the rules of this game and how to win a jackpot prize.

How to Play Premium Baccarat

Premium Baccarat follows the standard baccarat rules, but it offers players a bit more. As is standard, in Premium Baccarat, there are two positions, the Player and Banker. The aim of the game is to predict which position will have a value closer to 9 once all the cards have been dealt. As such, there are just three standard bets, Player, Banker, and Tie.

Once the bets have been placed, the round starts when the player clicks on the ‘Deal’ button. When this happens, the dealer serves two face-up cards to the Player position and two face-up cards to the Banker. The cards are worth their face value, except 10s and picture cards, which are worth 0. If a position has a two-digit value, the first digit is ignored and the last digit counts as the total. For example, if a position is dealt a 3 and a 9, the total is 12. Ignore the first digit – the hand value is 2.

If the Player or Banker position has a total of 8 or 9, they will immediately stand. However, in some scenarios, a third card will be drawn. Below, we look at the rules of when the third card is drawn for the Player and the Banker positions.

Player Third Card

  • If the Player has a total of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, the position will draw a third card, unless the Banker has 8 or 9.
  • If the Player has a total of 6 or 7, it will stand.

Banker Third Card

  • If the Player position stands, the Banker position will draw if it has a total of 5 or less.
  • If the Banker position has a total of 0, 1 or 2, it will draw a third card.
  • If the Banker position has a total of 3, it will draw a third card unless the Player’s third card was an 8.
  • If the Banker position has a total of 4, it will draw a third card unless the Player’s third card was a 0, 1, 8 or 9.
  • If the Banker position has a total of 5, it will draw a third card unless the Player’s third card was a 0, 1, 2, 3, 8 or 9.
  • If the Banker position has a total of 6, it will draw a third card unless the Player’s third card was a 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8 or 9.
  • If the Banker position has a total of 7, it will draw a third card.

Dragon Jackpot

In addition to the many features and side bets, Premium Baccarat also offers a Dragon Jackpot. The Dragon Jackpot is a four-level mystery jackpot prize that can be won after a successful bet on a Tie. After a successful Tie bet, the player is taken to a new screen with 10 hidden symbols. They must reveal symbols to find three that match and they then win the corresponding jackpot. From smallest to biggest the jackpots on offer are Green, Blue, Red, and Yellow.
