As with other live casino games, Live Speed Baccarat takes players to an exciting studio where a charismatic host is at the centre of the table. The action is presented by the dealer using HD cameras and a high-qualify stream with crisp graphics. Essentially, Live Speed Baccarat is a baccarat game that is played with a live dealer and a fast tempo.

Live Speed Baccarat Rules

The rules of Live Speed Baccarat are the same as standard baccarat. There are two positions on the table, the Player and the Banker. The aim of the game is to bet on which position you believe will have the stronger hand.

In Live Speed Baccarat, each position takes at least two cards. The hand that has a total that is closer to 9 wins the round. In Baccarat, Aces are worth 1, the number cards 2 to 10 are worth their face value and the face cards (Jack, Queen and King) are all worth ten. If a hand has a total of more than 10 then 10 is subtracted from the total. For instance, a hand of 17 is worth 7.

There are just three main bets in Baccarat, Banker, Player and Tie, and the game has a number of potentially lucrative side bets.

A Round of Live Speed 6 Scanner Baccarat

There is a relatively short amount of time, around 10 seconds, in which to place your bets. You need to bet on the Player, Banker or Tie positions and place any side bets that you wish to.

In Live Speed Baccarat, the cards are revealed using a special scanner. At the start of any round, the dealer deals six face-down cards. The cards are dealt over a scanner. The scanner reveals the first four cards are revealed in the standard Player-Banker order, but cards five and six remain hidden. If they are needed, they are revealed. If the third card on either position is not needed, the cards are removed face down. The Player-Banker order is the first one to the player, the next to the banker, the third to the player, and then the fourth to the banker.

Depending on the values of each position, a third card may be dealt to either one of them.

  • If the Player or the Banker has a total of 8 or 9 it is called a Natural and receives no more cards.
  • If the Player has a total of 6 or 7 then they stand.
  • If the Player stands, the Banker will draw a card if they have a total of 5 or less.
  • If the Player has a total of 5 or less, then the player draws a third card.

If the player does receive a third card, then the banker will also do so in the following situations:

  • If the Banker has a total of 0, 1 or 2.
  • If the Banker has a total of 3 then they will draw if the Player’s third card was 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, or 0 (not 8).
  • If the Banker has a total of 4, they will draw if the Player’s third card was 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7.
  • If the Banker has a total of 5, they will draw if the Player’s third card was 4, 5, 6 or 7.
  • If the Banker has a total of 6, they will draw if the Player’s third card was 6 or 7.
  • If the Banker has a total of 7, they will always stand.

Once all cards have been dealt you are paid for any winning bets.
