What is Hi-Lo Premium?

Hi-Lo Premium is arguably the easiest table game to play on the internet. The Playtech game is played with only 12 cards and requires players to correctly predict whether the hidden card is higher or lower than the revealed one. The RTP of the game varies from a minimum of 97.17% to a maximum of 97.5%. Keep reading our Hi-Lo Premium guide to learn all you need to know about the game.

How to Play Hi-Lo Premium

In Hi-Lo Premium from Playtech, only twelve cards from a standard deck are used. The cards include the 2, 6 and Jack of Hearts, the 3, 7 and Queen of Spades, the 4, 8 and King of Diamonds and the 5, 9 and Ace of Clubs. That means three cards of each suit is used and the numbers 2 to 9 and J to A are in play.

Before every round, the cards are laid faced down and shuffled. One of the cards is randomly selected and flipped over. Once the card is revealed, the player can set their stake and place a bet.

The player will have the chance to increase and decrease their stake by using the ‘Stake Up’ and ‘Stake Down’ buttons. These buttons are found on the right-hand side of your screen. After setting the stake, the player can choose from one of nine different betting options. Below, we cover the bet options that are available in Hi-Lo Premium.

  • Lower – this is a bet that the next card will have a lower value than the revealed card.
  • Higher – this is a bet that the next card will have a higher value than the revealed card.
  • Snap – this is a bet that the next card picked will have the same value as the revealed card.
  • Ace – this is a bet that pays if the next card is the Ace of Clubs.
  • Ace or King – this is a bet that pays if the next card is either the Ace of Clubs or the King Diamonds.
  • Black – this is a bet that pays if the next card is either a Club or a Spade.
  • Red – this is a bet that pays if the next card is either a Diamond or a Heart.
  • Jack to Ace – this is a bet that pays if the next card is either a Jack, a Queen, a King or an Ace.
  • 2 to 9 – this is a bet that pays if the next card is either a 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9.

Save Some or Take All

In Hi-Lo from Playtech, you will have the chance to bet on one of the nine options every round. The Higher, Lower and Snap buttons are found directly beneath the cards whilst the Ace, Ace or King, Jack to Ace, Black, Red and 2 to 9 buttons are found on the left-hand side of your screen. Setting the stake is done on the right-hand side where the Stake Up and Stake Down buttons are found.

If you have successfully predicted the outcome of a round, you will be able to click on either the ‘Save Some’ or ‘Take All’ buttons. These two buttons are found directly below the stake buttons. By clicking one of these buttons, you can save some or all of your win to your saved balance. If you choose a losing bet option, your stake balance resets to zero. The saved balance is added to your total balance and also resets to zero. When this happens, you can place a bet and choose the bet options again.
