Get Started Betting on the Polish PlusLiga

The Polish PlusLiga is the top-tier men's volleyball professional league competition in Poland. It is one of the high-ranked volleyball competitions in Europe. The 16-team league is played in a regular round-robin season, with teams playing each other twice. This is followed by a round of playoffs, and the winner is crowned the Polish Championship title.

This means that there are plenty of matches to bet on, which translates into numerous opportunities to win. If you are not sure how to get started betting on the Polish PlusLiga, here we will take you through the most common types of bets, so that you can get started with ease.

Popular Polis PlusLiga Bets

To Win

When betting on the Polish PlusLiga, the to-win wager is the easiest bet. It is a prediction of which team will win a match. There are no draws in volleyball, so all you have to do is pick a team. For example, if Cuprum are playing Stal Nysa and you bet on Cuprum, if Cuprum win the match then you win the bet.

Exact Score Betting

This is a type of bet where you have to predict the exact score of a volleyball match. The bet wins if the match ends with the exact score that you predicted. For example, in a match between Barkom and Belchatow, you could bet on Barkom to win by 3 sets to 2. If they win by that margin, the bet is also won.

Set Betting

There are a few ways of betting on sets. The most common is a bet on how many sets will be played in a game. You do not have to pick an exact number, rather you bet on there being over or under a specific number of sets played. Volleyball is played to the best of five sets, so there will always bet at least three played. Therefore, you might bet on there being more than three sets played or less than four sets played. For example, in a game between Czarni Radom and Zawiercie, you may think that Zawiercie will win in straight sets, in which case you bet on under 4 sets.

You can also bet on which team will win an individual set. For instance, you could bet that Czarni Random will win the first set of the match and that Zawiercie will win the second.

Handicap Bets

A handicap bet is designed to make betting on the favorite team more exciting by giving them a handicap that must be overcome. For example, in a match between Jastrzebski and Olsztyn, Jastrzebski may be given a handicap of -1.5. This means that a bet on them would only win if they win the game by at least 2 sets. Handicaps can also be set on the total number of games. There could be a -11.5 handicap on how many games Jastrzebski will win and for that bet to win, they would need to win the match by at least 12 games over however many sets were played.

Over/Under Points Bets

This is a bet on the total number of points scored in a volleyball match. It can be the total number of points for the whole game of just a particular set. A value is provided and you need to bet whether more or less points will be scored in the match. For example, in a match between Slepsk Suwalki and Gdansk, the line may be set at 171.5. If you think there will be at least 172 points in the match then you bet over and if you think there will be less than 172 points, you bet under.

Player and Game Props

Props bets are on things other than the result. For example, you can bet on player fouls, such as whether Projekt Warszawa's spiker Aleksandar Atanasijevic will commit a palming foul or score a penalty in a game against Czarni Radom. You can also bet on things such as whether an odd or even number of points will be scored and whether a fourth of fifth set will be played.

Live Betting

Live betting allows you to bet on a volleyball match once it has begun. You will be able to place many of the bets described above and the odds will be adjusted in real time. For instance, if a team takes a bit lead, then the odds on them winning will shorten, even if they began as the underdogs. You can also bet on the next thing to happen, such as the next team to score.
