We here at Galera, we absolutely love blackjack games that have an added layer of excitement. If you are a blackjack enthusiast, you are going to find these games interesting as they offer various features such as the ability to switch cards, benefit from multipliers and place free bets. Keep reading to find out more.

Blackjack Switch

If you want to try a truly unusual game of blackjack, then Blackjack Switch is worth a close look. In this blackjack variant, you are given the chance to potentially create a stronger hand by switching two cards from two hands. Keep reading to find out why Blackjack Switch is so popular among players.

Blackjack Switch uses the same standard rules as regular blackjack. That is to say, Blackjack defeats all hands (except for a dealer Blackjack), exceeding 21 means going bust and holding a stronger hand than the dealer’s wins.
In Blackjack Switch, players command two hands against the dealers. Once the dealer deals the cards, players can switch the top two cards on both hands. For instance, if the player has a K/6 hand and 5/A, they could switch the top two cards to form K/A (Blackjack) and 5/6.

The only thing that balances out the play in Blackjack Switch is that the dealer does not bust on 22. Instead, the round ends as a push (unless the player has Blackjack in which case the dealer’s 22 loses).

There is also a Super Match feature that wins if any of the player’s first two cards on either hand have the same value. For instance, if the player has a K/Q and K/J, they hold a pair of Kings. The Super Match payout pays instantly for the following:

  • A Pair pays 1:1
  • A Three of a Kind pays 5:1
  • Two Pairs pays 8:1
  • A Four of a Kind pays 40:1

Blackjack Switch has a theoretical RTP of 99.92%. Players will be able to hit, stand, double, split and place insurance bets. In addition, if a player’s hand has 10-cards without going bust, it automatically defeats the dealer (unless the dealer has Blackjack).

Free Chip Blackjack

One of the most popular blackjack variants at Galera is Free Chip Blackjack. In Free Chip Blackjack, players can enjoy the same standard gameplay as regular blackjack. However, the game also has certain instances where players can benefit from free doubling and free splitting.

Free Chip Blackjack requires players to beat the dealer’s hand at all costs. If the player or dealer exceeds 21, the hand goes bust. All other rules remain the same, expect for the rules on Free Chips. Players can benefit from a Free Double Down if they hold any natural hand 9, 10 or 11 (two-cards without an ace). If the player wins, they are paid out in full. If they lose, only the initial bet is taken and not the doubled value. Additionally, players can receive a Free Split on any pair from Ace to 9. Split pairs do not require the player to double their bet.

To counter the Free Bets that players can place, there are a few dealer advantages to note. For instance, the hand is returned as a push if the dealer busts with a face-up card of 10. Furthermore, if the dealer busts on a player hand of 17, the bet is returned as a push.

In Free Chip Blackjack, there are also various side bets available. The side bets include Perfect Pairs, Bust Bonanza and the Free Fortune. For the Bust Bonanza side bet, players can win up to 45:1 if the dealer busts with a face-up Ace and the player has a 17. Any Perfect Pair on a single hand pays 25:1. For the Free Fortune, the player wins depending on how many Free Chips they receive for a single hand. As splitting is possible on up to three hands, players can receive up to seven Free Chips for a hand. If a hand has seven Free Chips used, the payout is 1000:1. If only one Free Chip is used, the payout is 3:1.

Free Chip Blackjack has a theoretical RTP of 96.50%. It is an ideal game for players that enjoy placing wagers and occasionally having free bets placed for them to potentially enhance their winnings.

Quantum Blackjack Plus Instant Play

If you are looking for something unique to play, Quantum Blackjack Plus Instant Play is one of the more exciting games in the industry. Just like above, the variant uses the same standard rules of most blackjack games. However, in Quantum Blackjack Plus Instant Play, players can also benefit from randomly chosen special cards that have multipliers attached to them.

After placing their stake, between three and five special cards are randomly selected from the deck. The special cards add a multiplier of x2.5, x3, x5 or x10 to enhance any potential payout. Furthermore, Quantum Blackjack Plus Instant Play also has two other randomly triggered bonuses. One of the bonuses means all five special cards will be in place, each of them having a x200 multiplier. The other randomly triggered bonus selects a single special card from the deck but adds a multiplier of x1,000 to it.

Besides the bonuses and special cards, the gameplay is the same as in standard blackjack. All wins are paid out at 1:1, Blackjack pays 3:2 and insurance bets pay 2:1. If the player holds 10-cards without going bust, they will automatically win (unless the dealer has Blackjack). The dealer will always hit on a 16 or lower and stand on a 17 or higher.

Essentially, this enhances your chances of winning. In Quantum Blackjack Plus Instant Play, players can also place Perfect Pairs and the 21+3 side bets. The theoretical RTP of the game is 99.84%.
