Betting on the Spanish Primera Iberdrola

The Primera Iberdrola is the highest division of women's football in Spain. The first season was held in 1988-89 and today it is become the third-best national women's competition, only behind the women's leagues of France and Germany.

Among the teams that play in this competition are Athletic Club, winner of 5 championships, Real Madrid Feminine, a club that in its short existence (it was officially born in 2020) has achieved great success, and F.C. Barcelona, currently the most successful women's club, winner of 7 editions of the tournament, and with the last winner of the Golden Ball, Alexia Putellas.

Currently, there are 16 teams contesting the Primera Iberdrola: Alhama C.F., Athletic Club, Atletico Madrid, Deportivo Alaves, F.C. Barcelona, F.C. Levante Las Palmas, Levante U.D., Madrid C.F.F., Real Betis, Real Madrid FC, Real Sociedad, Sevilla F.C., Sporting de Huelva, U.D.G. Tenerife, Valencia CF, and Villareal C.F.

At the end of the season, two teams are relegated to the second division and two teams from the second division are promoted.

How to Bet on the Spanish Primera Iberdrola

There are a huge number of bets available on the Spanish Primera Iberdrola and here we will explain the most popular of them.

Outright Bets

Outright bets are bets on who will win the league. They are long-term bets since the winner isn't known until the competition is over. They are usually made before the start of a season, although they can be placed once the season has begun.

For example, you could bet on Real Madrid FC to win the league this year. If they do, then you win your bet.

Match Results

Match results are simple bets on who will win a match. For example, if Barcelona and Athletic Club play, if you bet on Barcelona and they win, you win. If Athletic wins or draws the match, you lose the bet.

Double Chance

A Double Chance bet reduces the risk. A single bet covers two of the possible outcomes of a game. For example, in a game between Barcelona and Athletic Club, you can bet that there will be a winner (Barcelona or Athletic Club), that Barcelona will win or the teams will draw, or that Athletic Club will win or the teams will draw.

Draw no Bet

This bet, like the match result bet, is a bet on which team will win. However, it reduces the risk. If the game ends in a draw, then your money is refunded.

Half-Time/Full-Time

This is a bet on the result at the end of the first half and the result at the end of the game. It requires you to make two predictions. For example, you could bet that Barcelona wins the first half but that Atletico Madrid wins the match or you could bet that Barcelona wins the first half and the match, or any other combination that you can think of.

Total Goals

This is a bet on the total number of goals scored in a match and it is presented as an over/under market. For example, if Barcelona and Real Madrid play, you could bet on there being over or under 3.5 goals. If you think the game will see at least 4 goals, then you bet over if think there will be 3 or fewer goals, then you bet under.

Goal Handicap

A handicap bet gives a team a goal advantage or disadvantage and the odds are adjusted accordingly. For example, if you bet on Barcelona with a -1.5 goal handicap when they play against Real Madrid, then your bet will only win if Barcelona win by a margin of at least 2 goals. Alternatively, you could bet on Real Madrid with a +1.5 goal handicap and that bet wins if Real Madrid win the match or if they lose by only 1 goal.

Player & Game Props

Player & Game Props are bets specific to certain match and player statistics. For example, you could bet on how many corners there will be, how many fouls, and so on. You can also bet on how many goals a specific player will score. For example, you could bet that Barcelona’s Mariona Caldentey will score 2 goals.

Live Bets

Live Bets are all the bets you can place after a match has started. Many of the bets explained above can be placed live, but keep in mind that once the match has started, the odds will change to reflect what is happening on the football pitch. You can also place bets on the next thing to happen, such as which team will be the next to score.
