Betting on the NBB All-Star Weekend

The NBB All-Star Weekend is one of the biggest highlights in the year, as it features the All-Star team of the year going head to head in a series of games. There is the NBB Dunks Tournament, the NBB Three-point Tournament, NBB Skills Challenge, and the key event, the NBB All-Star Game.

The skills tournaments is where the players need to run through a zigzag course that has four obstacles. After this, they will need to make a straight pass inside an arc, and then cross the court for a layup or dunk, and then finish the challenge with a 3-point shot.

The 3-point shot tournament requires the competitors to shoot 25 times in 60 seconds. They will have 5 shots in 5 different positions, and they will have shots with both the regular ball and a coloured ball. Shots scored with the regular ball count as 1 point, and shots scored with the coloured ball count as 2.

The dunk tournament features the players going head to head in an elimination round. They will start in the quarterfinals and go all the way through to the finals. In each round, two players will go head to head and perform a dunk. There is a board of judges who will decide which player has the better technique, and that player will win the round.

These competitions are highly exciting to watch, and only the top players compete in them, which means you are definitely going to see some top class talent. At the end of the individual player tournaments, there is the All-Star Game, which is the final tournament. This is a team tournament, where 4 of the All-Star players are made captains, and they have to pick their teams. Once the teams are picked, they will play in the semi-finals. The semi-finals round is played in a 12 minute quarter format, and then after that game there is a third place playoff and a finals, which are both played in a 15 minute quarter format.

You will not want to miss out on the NBB All-Star Weekend, and you can make your weekend even more exciting by placing some bets on it. There are many different ways of betting on the weekend, so read on to learn about the most popular of them.

NBB All-Star Weekend Betting

Outright Bets

Outrights are bets on who will win the tournament. You can find outrights for the All-Star Game, the skills tournament, 3-point tournament, and the dunk tournament. There will be odds on all of the participants in these competitions, and you can simply bet on the player, or team you think will win.

For example, in the skills tournament you may find bets on players such as Grui Abreu, Ricardo Fischer, Fuller, Olivinha, and so on. In the dunk contest, you may find bets on the players in that tournament, such as Alex Doria, Bruno Cabocio, Tulio da Silva, and so on. This all depends on which players qualify for the All-Star Weekend, and is different every year.

All-Star Game Result

For the final All-Star Game, you will be able to bet on each individual game in the tournament with the game result bet. This is simply a two way bet, where you can bet on which team you think will win.

All-Star Game Handicap

You can bet on a team to win with a handicap. What this means is that you will choose a handicap that will be added to the team’s score at the end of the game, and they should still win. For example, a team could be given a -5.5 points handicap. If you bet on the team, then they need to win by at least 6 points for your bet to win. It is also possible to find positive handicaps, which make it easier to win the bets. Of course, with negative handicaps the odds are longer and with positive handicaps they are shorter.

All-Star Game Points Total

Point totals are bets on how many points will be scored in a game. To make this bet, you can pick a betting line, and then bet on whether the game will have over or under that number of points. For example, if you pick a line of 140.5, then you can bet on the game to end with 141 points or more, or on the game to end with 140 points or less.

Head to Head Bets

The head to head bets allow you to bet on which player you think will do better in the tournament, in a selection of 2. There are preselected combinations, such as Bruno Cabocio vs Maozinha in the dunks tournament, or Luke Martinez vs Felipe Ruizo in the 3-point tournament, and so on, and you simply pick the player who you think will reach further or have a better score. It does not matter if the player you pick does not win the tournament, as long as they have a better score than the other player.

Live Bets

These are bets that are offered during a game or tournament. You will be able to bet on which team will win a game, or how many points will be scored during that game, during matchplay. For the tournaments, you may be able to bet on which player will win the next round, or which player will win in a head to head bet in the next round.

All live bets are offered with odds that update in real time. This means that during the team games, you may find that the odds on each bet will change during a game. For individual tournaments, this means that the bets will only be available for what will happen in the next round, as the rounds are much quicker than the games.
