Betting On the Absolute Championship Akhmat

The Absolute Championship Akhmat or ACA is a mixed martial arts competition out of Russia. ACA has been hosting MMA bouts since 2014 and it is one of Russia's top MMA promotions.

The ACA hosts fights for men in eight weight classes. These classes range from flyweight at 125 pounds or 56.7 kg to heavyweight at 265 pounds or 120.2 kg.

Most of the fighters in ACA are from Russia, but there are also fighters from Belarus, Brazil, and Kazakhstan in the organization. There used to be some American fighters in ACA, but United States Department of Treasury sanctions have forced American fighters to pull out of the promotion.

The ACA has various rules for its fights:

  • Most fights last three five-minute rounds, while main events and title fights last five five-minute rounds.
  • A bout can be determined by decision, knockout, technical knockout, or submission.
  • Fighters can earn bonuses for their performance. These include a $50,000 Performance of the Night award and a $5,000 Stoppage Victory Bonus.

The ACA hosts competitions every few weeks, with most of them being in Russia. For example, ACA 139 was held on May 21, 2022 at the CSKA Arena in Moscow, while ACA 140 was on June 17 at Sochi's WOW Arena.

You can bet on ACA competitions throughout the year. You'll have many wagering options to consider for each fight.

Moneyline

A moneyline wager is the most common wager in ACA betting. The moneyline bet involves wagering on a fighter to win. The odds will depend on who is fighting. You might find an event where the fighters have odds of 1.70 and 2.10, or you could see one with odds of 7.00 and 1.10.

Total Rounds

You can also bet on how many rounds a fight will last using the over/under format. A three-round fight will have an over-under of 2.5 rounds, while a five-round bout could have multiple lines like 2.5 or 3.5 rounds. For example, in a fight between Levan Makashvili and Tural Ragimov you could bet on there being 3 or more rounds or 2 or less.

Win By Submission

One bet for ACA bouts involves betting on whether a fighter will win by submission. A submission win occurs when a fighter limits his opponent's range of motion, making it impossible for his opponent to fight back. The losing fighter can tap out, or that fighter's corner man can demand the fight stop.

The odds to win this way will vary based on each fighter's history. If a fighter is known to handle submission holds well, then there will likely be very short odds on his opponent winning by submission

Win By Decision

A win by decision occurs when a fight lasts all three or five rounds and the winner is determined based on what the three judges decide. Most ACA bouts that end by decision are unanimous decisions where all three judges rule in favor of one fighter. A split decision where only two people vote in favor of a fighter can also happen.

Fight To End In a Draw

A fight could also end in a draw where all three judges rule a tie or two judges are split and the third reaches a tie. The odds of a fight ending in a draw will usually be long as it is very rare.

Fight To Go the Distance

You can wager on a fight to go the distance, meaning it will last all three or five rounds. This wager works regardless of who wins. For example, in a fight between Magomedrasul Gasanov and Artem Frolov, you could bet that the fight will last five rounds.

To Win In Round

There's also the option to wager on when a fighter will win. For instance, if Salimgerey Rasulov were to fight Alikan Vakhaev, Rasulov would be favorite to win. You could bet on him winning in a particular round and there will be odds available for each round.

Prop Bets

You'll find many prop bets for ACA fights, although you'll likely find more ACA props for main events or title fights. Some of these prop bets include:

  • The method of victory, including who will win and by what measure
  • In which round a fighter will win
  • The round of victory for a fighter and method of victory
  • Whether a fight will contain a certain number of rounds
  • The number of significant strikes a fighter lands; this is an over-under wager
  • How many takedowns a fighter lands; this is also over-under

Live Bets

You can bet on ACA fights as they happen. The odds for a fighter to win will change as the fight progresses. For instance, one fighter might have a 1.18 line while the other is at 5.00. If the underdog does well at the start, that person's line could drop to 3.00 while the favorite goes to 1.33. You can bet on these new odds, but the timeframe for when you can place your bet will be limited.
