Betting on Jessica Andrade’s UFC Fights in 2022–23

Jessica Andrade is a Brazilian MMA fighter who signed for the UFC in 2013. She has fought in three different weight classes, Strawweight, Flyweight and Bantamweight, and she is the former UFC Women's Strawweight Champion. Coming from Umuarama in the state of Parana, she grew up playing football. While she was at school, she started training for judo and later picked up jiu-jitsu. It was during this time that she picked up the nickname bate estaca, as she performed a body slam in one of her first amateur competitions. The move was illegal and so Andrade was immediately disqualified, but she instantly gained a reputation for being a fearless fighter.

Jessica Andrade Career Highlights

In 2013, Andrade fought outside Brazil for the first time in her career. She fought Milana Dudieva at the ProFC Russia vs Europe and won by submission. Her first UFC fight came in 2013 when Liz Carmouche was supposed to face Miesha Tate at the UFC on FOX 8, but Tate had another fight lined up. Andrade filled the slot and went to fight against Carmouche. Andrade lost the fight by technical knockout in the second round. Picking herself up quickly, she entered her second UFC event at UFC Fight Night 30, where she fought Rosi Sexton. The fighters fought all three rounds and then Andrade won the fight by unanimous decision. Up until 2015, Andrade fought in the Bantamweight division, and then she decided to move to the   Strawweight division. She won her first two fights, at the UFC 199 and UFC 203, against Jessica Penne and Joanne Calderwood, respectively. Quickly establishing a name for herself, Andrade then went on to fight at the UFC Fight Night: Bermudez vs The Korean Zombie. She beat Angela Hill in a unanimous decision and won the Fight of the Night award.

In the Strawweight division, Andrade would win two more Fight of the Night awards for her two fights against Rose Namajunas, the first of which she won by a knockout in the second round, and the second she lost via split decision.

In 2020, Andrade changed division again, moving to the Flyweight. She had just lost two consecutive fights at Strawweight and wanted to reinvent her fighting style. It worked for her as she beat Katlyn Chookagian in her first fight, which earned her a Performance of the Night award. With the win, she became the first woman in the UFC to win fights in three different weight divisions. She had two more major fights, against Valentina Shevchenko and Cynthia Calvillo. She dominated the fight against Shevchenko but lost in the second round after receiving a powerful elbow. She managed to overcome Calvillo via a technical knockout in the first round. In 2023, Andrade returned to the Flyweight division and won her first fight. It was against Lauren Murphy at UFC 283, and Andrade won via unanimous decision.

Interesting Bets on Jessica Andrade for 2023

Jessica Andrade has had a great start this year and the Flyweight poses many challenges for her. There will be lots of interesting fights coming up and with them, there will be plenty of betting opportunities.

Double Chance Method of Victory

This bet should be broken down into two parts. First, it is a method of victory bet in which you will need to pick how Andrade will win the fight. There are three different options: win by decision, win by submission, or win by technical knockout/knockout/disqualification. The next part of the bet is the double chance. This basically means that you can cover two out of the three possible outcomes from the method of victory bet.

For example, you can bet on Andrade to win the fight by submission or decision, to win by submission or technical knockout/knockout/disqualification, or by decision or technical knockout/knockout/disqualification. The reason why this bet is highlighted is that she does not have one or two preferred ways of winning. Out of her 24 wins so far, she has won 9 by knockout, 8 by submission, and 7 by decision. If you place a double chance bet, you can cover two out of the three possibilities and increase your chances of winning.

Winning Round

Winning round is a bet where you have to pick the exact round you think Andrade will win the fight in. You can pick between the first round, second round, or third round. Going by her record, she has won fights in all three rounds and sometimes by decision. Her statistics may not indicate a preferred round to win in, but if you look at her opponent you may be able to form some conclusions. In any case, these bets will come with extremely long odds and you can make an enormous win if you pick correctly.

Live Betting

You will also have the option to place in-play bets. This can be hugely advantageous as you will be able to pick up signs of what may happen during the game, but you have to be careful. The odds will keep changing during the fight so be sure to place your bets before they drop and become too short.
