Betting on the Buffalo Bills

There are numerous ways of betting on the Buffalo Bills this season; here are some of the most popular betting markets:

Moneyline

It is easy to understand and place a moneyline bet on the Buffalo Bills. All you do is predict the team that is going to win the game. There are three outcomes to a moneyline bet on the Bills. The Bills win, the opponents win or the game ends tied which is known as a push.

For example, in week 5 of the 2021 season, the Bills played the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bills were considered underdogs and had odds of 2.65 while the Chiefs were priced at 1.51. If you had Bet on the Bills to win a successful bet will have been made as they won the game 38 – 20.

Spread (Handicap Betting)

This type of bet has some similarities to a moneyline as you betting on a team to win. The difference lies in that a points spread is provided and this is applied to the final score. The favourite to win a game is presented with minus points spread and the underdog is provided with positive points spread.

This sounds complicated, but it is very simple. For example, in week 17 of the 2021 season, the Bills were scheduled to play the Atlanta Falcons. In this game, the Bills were heavy favourites with a point spread of -14 while the Falcons had a point spread of +14. If you wanted to bet on the Bills to win then they would need to win by 15 points.  The game result finished with a 29 – 15 win to the Bills a margin of 14 points. The bet ended in a push meaning it was neither won nor lost and your stake would be returned. To obtain a winning bet on the Falcons they will have had to win the game or not lose by more than 13 points.

Total Points

This is a bet on the total number of points scored in a game and you simply choose to bet over or under the number provided. In the divisional playoff against Kansas City Chiefs, January 2022, the over/under total points were set at 53.5. Betting over will have won as the final score was 36 – 42, a total of 78 points.
